Be inspired with ideas for creating a My Little Pony party theme for your daughter using My Little Pony party supplies and innovative designs!

Many little girls love ponies, and My Little Pony has been a popular toy for years now. Throwing a My Little Pony party is easy when you blend a little imagination with the right resources!

Ideas for a My Little Pony Party

A My Little Pony theme can involve anything from simple pony imagery to an entire themed room, decorated in the style of a stable or paddock, for example!

Think about how to theme everything for the party in the style of pony accessories, from pony food to horseshoe-shaped place settings.

My Little Pony Party Supplies

There are lots of My Little Pony party supplies, which can be used to decorate your party theme. Some examples include:

  • Plates, cups and cutlery
  • Banners, balloons and streamers
  • Party bags, favors and piñatas
  • Tablecloths and centerpieces
  • Party hats and masks
  • Invitations and thank you cards
  • Games
  • Gifts

My Little Pony Party Food

It can be great fun to unleash the imagination on party food for a themed party. With a My Little Pony theme, here are some ideas:

  • Horseshoe-shaped cookies, biscuits or sandwiches
  • A trough of Pony Hay, made out of cheese straws
  • My Little Pony cupcakes, decorated with themed edible rice papers, tiny pony figurines or cupcake rings
  • A My Little Pony Birthday Cake – if you are adept at cake-making you could try creating a pony or even Dream Castle out of fondant icing! Alternatively there are lots of excellent cake shops that will cater for your specific needs.

My Little Pony Party Games

Party games really get a party into full swing! Track down some My Little Pony tunes to play in the background, and run some fun games such as:

  • Pin the Tail on the Pony – print out one of the pony characters and some tails to play this classic game
  • Musical Stables – play musical chairs and pretend that the children are ponies rushing to get into their stables
  • Clip Clop Races – if it is a nice day, run pony races in the garden!
  • Baby Pony Hide and Seek – hide pictures of the baby ponies around the house or room and give out clues as to where to find them
  • Princess Pony Treasure Hunt – the Princess Ponies have lost their crowns! Hide different clues, with each one leading to the next, until the crowns are found! You could make or buy enough miniature crowns or tiaras for each of the children to keep as a prize.

My Little Pony Party Activities and Crafts

In addition to games, other ideas for entertainment include painting, drawing, puzzles, and sculpting.

  • Print out activity sheets for children to complete
  • Have a story circle, where children take it in turns to carry on the pony story
  • Hold a “Design your own Pony” competition, and ask the children to draw a new pony with a new special symbol on her rump. Give out prizes for the best picture, best name, best symbol and so on.
  • If you have enough adult supervision and don’t mind getting a little messy, you could get the children sculpting ponies out of Play-Doh or making My Little Pony cakes!

My Little Pony Party Favors

A party bag or favor box at the end of a party is always a favorite! Pre-fill them with My Little Pony stickers, keyrings, accessories for their pony toys and so on. Or you can stuff a piñata with lots of goodies and get the children bash or pull it open at the end of the party, filling up their bags with what falls out. Make sure everyone gets a fair share! There are My Little Pony pull-string piñatas available, or you can make your own out of paper mache.

These are just a few ideas for an exciting My Little Pony party. Draw inspiration from the pony toys or ask your daughter to get involved in making things for the party!
