Ben 10 is an animated American television series following the adventures of Ben Tennyson, an ordinary boy who enjoys daily encounters with aliens. The show is a hugely popular boys party theme, and consequently, Ben 10 cakes are also extremely popular. Here are instructions for making the perfect Ben 10 cake!
Ben 10 Cake Mix
For the basic cake element of a Ben 10 cake, a simple jam and buttercream sponge is always popular, or alternatively, chocolate sponge. Round is the traditional shape but square and rectangular shapes are often suitable for larger topping designs or the many cake topper kits available.
A tiered sponge cake can also be fun, allowing for creativity in decorating the different tiers. In addition, the cake could be shaped to look like an object, face or character from the series. At present no Ben 10 cake pans are available but alien or space-themed cake pans are an alternative possibility.
How to Make Green Cake
Add an extra element of fun to the Ben 10 cake by coloring the sponge green to match the show’s main color! There are some terrific green cake recipes that incorporate green cake, green buttercream and green ganache, using such ingredients as green tea, or it is possible to make a lime green cake coloring to turn both the cake and the icing green!
Tips for Icing Ben 10 Cakes
When considering icing designs, theme around the Ben 10 colors of green, yellow, white and black.
If using fondant, either buy pre-colored fondant or dye white fondant with food coloring liquids, gels or pastes.
To help fondant pieces stick together, use a little buttercream or royal icing to act as glue.

You could include popping space candy on the top and make chunky honeycomb rocks to act as space rocks. Decorate with Ben 10 cupcake picks or figures, or for a complete edible cake, make miniature characters out of fondant or modelling chocolate.
