Writer Louise Heyden - Louise Heyden

Louise Heyden is writer, artist, work at home mum and former school Library Manager.

Author of Booked In: How to Run a Successful School Library and LRC, Louise is also a columnist for The Faeries and Angels Magazine and the forthcoming Spirit of Avalon. She is currently working on a series of spiritual books and a novel, has been published in numerous publications such as FAE, and is a contributing writer for Faezine. Louise also writes at Squidoo.

Louise has been working with crystals and chakras for over ten years, and has trained in crystal healing, energy anatomy and holistic massage. She is an intuitive psychic who has been working with angels and the spirit realms for over a decade, and writes about many spiritual and esoteric subjects including ascension, crystals, chakras, twin flames, 2012, crystal skulls, angelic healing, earth angels, lightworkers and more via her Ocean Faerie Goddess project.

Louise is also a self-taught artist who works with numerous arts and crafts mediums including acrylics, polymer clay, mixed media, paper-crafting, book-making and more.

Louise successfully ran two libraries over three years at a split-site secondary school, and is passionate about promoting the importance of literacy skills and enthusiasm for reading in young people. She is also keen to share her library experience to encourage more libraries to become exciting learning areas, through engaging activities, out-of-hours learning and stimulating displays.

As busy work-at-home mum to a toddler, she also enjoys writing about activities, games, creative play and learning for young children.

Prior to life in the library she worked as a sound engineer for six years, producing radio commercials and video post production, as well as scriptwriting for radio. More recently she worked as a sound technician at corporate events and conferences.

Louise now lives in Cheshire, UK with her partner and one-year-old daughter. She divides her time between being a stay-at-home mum, writing, crafting, baking and gardening.

Other interests include history, nature, environmental and conservation issues, travel, interiors, collectibles, fantasy, literature, ghost-hunting, mythology and folklore.
